LIVE ANIMAL PROGRAMS:In exciting live-animal programs like "World Wildlife", "Reptibians" (reptiles and amphibians), Rockhopper's trained animal ambassadors bring science to life . Primarily unwanted pets, our education animals are selected for educational impact and diversity. Live animal programs focus on the critters, but touchable artifacts and adaptable multi-media presentations provide an engaging and informative experience for any group. SPECIAL INTEREST PROGRAMS:Using interactive discussion and activities to supplement cutting edge information, Rockhopper Outdoor Education covers a wide range of presentation topics for your class or group. With a complete program list of almost twenty multi-media presentations, we can cover topics ranging from climate change, predator/prey relationships and local ecology- to team-building games and storytelling. Our staff’s varied experience and Rockhopper’s range of program offerings provides a foundation that enhances every presentation. GUIDED EXPLORATIONS:From backyard to schoolyard and forest to pond we will custom design a guided exploration of your local environment. “Hands-on” is the focus as we learn about the natural world. Our “Portable Field Station” gives groups a biologist’s view of the ponds, fields and forests of the Northeast. Guided Explorations combine outdoor discovery with games, activities and touchable artifacts. Local parks, waterways and forests are an ideal setting for these outdoor explorations. Early registration is recommended to ensure that the best program site is available. CONTRACT PRESENTATIONS:These are offered primarily to educational institutions and private groups. Rockhopper will bring the experience, artifacts and activities to discuss the topic of your choice. We also offer trainings and consultation services for organizations in keeping with our mission. |
