Rockhopper Outdoor Education's goal is to offer fun and educational programs designed to engage our audiences and demonstrate the role we all play in a healthy, fully functioning world. It is our hope that by engaging our audiences on topics that are interesting or helpful to them, we can provide a useful service and still encourage our friends and neighbors to be responsible stewards of this beautiful state.

About our Founder:

Born in Windsor, VT, Michael Clough has spent his entire life enjoying and exploring the wild places of New England. As owner and operator of Rockhopper Outdoor Education, Mike brings over 11 years of experience in the Natural History/Environmental Education field to his fun and educational presentations. Mr. Clough has worked with some of the Northeast’s premier conservation and environmental education groups with varied live animal and adventure-based learning experience. He has presented over 4000 educational programs to families, library, fair, school and college audiences covering a variety of topics, from insects to global climate change. In 2005 Mr. Clough and his wife Christina returned to VT and have begun to establish Rockhopper Outdoor Education. Through Rockhopper, Michael hopes to bring the youth of New England back into contact with the nature of the Northeast by combining his years of experience with a sincere enthusiasm for teaching about nature through interactive discussion and hands-on exploration.
